Troubleshooting Unit Enrolments

Invalid Units

See Monitoring Invalid Units to track the checking of invalid units.

Units are assigned an INVALID unit attempt status for a number of reasons, including:

Previous Enrolment:

For non-repeatable units, the student has previously passed or received Advanced Standing for the unit.

Unit Code Translation table

Current Enrolment:

For non-repeatable units, the student has enrolled in the unit more than once in the current academic year.

Unit Rule:

The student has not satisfied a pre-requisite, co-requisite or incompatible unit rule.

2010 Unit Rules

Course Rules - Unit Restrictions:

The student has:

Unit Offerings

A unit offering may not be added to a student's enrolment for a number of reasons, including:

Unit Availability:

The unit offering is not available or is not available online (eg special units).

2009 Unit Availability

Course Rules - Overloads:

The student is trying to exceed the credit points restriction for a teaching period or a course.

2010 Course Rules - Overloads

Student Course Attempt:

The student has:

  • approved Intermission during the teaching period
  • a course commencement date that is after the teaching period start date; or
  • already enrolled in the unit in a concurrent course attempt.
